To Somewhere and Back Before My Time

This morning, on the Today show, a doctor talked about her near-death experience and how she was told “it wasn’t her time” because her family would need her because her son was going to die.  I don’t know who knows this, but the same thing happened to me in 2007, when I battled an e-coli infection.  I died and was told to “Go back.  It’s not your time.”  I don’t think my experience was as detailed as hers because I wasn’t gone as long as she was.  But the message was very similar.

Suddenly this morning, a light bulb went off in my head and I understood exactly why I was sent back.  It wasn’t my time, but my kids would need me when their father died (which happened suddenly in March).

I need to reflect more on this.  But here’s a link to the doctor’s book.  Enjoy your day and take a few moments to stop and smell the roses.  🙂
